I just finished "The Queen of Dirt Island." by Donal Ryan. I am really glad I read it and will keep it nearby to re-read here and there. That said, I'm not sure what pulls me to this, the structure he uses or the people at the center of the story. I do love a story that centers generations of women and shows them strong against the world.
